An Effective Way To Manage Your Guest List

Brides that have gone before you may just have intimated that managing your guest list can be one of the most stressful parts of the wedding planning process!

Deciding who to ask to your wedding and where to draw the line can be long drawn out process that can easily be taken over by parents, especially if they are hosting (paying).

The last thing you want is a room full of people you barely know, celebrating your special day. You want to be surrounded with family members and friends that you know and who mean something to you and your partner, essentially the people who matter the most.

Worrying about whether you will offend Great Aunt Susan by not asking Cecil, her third cousin once removed to your wedding, is not something that should take up any of your planning time.  Restrictions will already be placed by your venue’s capacity, so that is your starting point.

You will no doubt be aware of the minimum and maximum numbers, so by inviting a number that’s larger than your venue’s capacity will cause you to hold your breath every time you open an RSVP.

Budget is a huge influencer when it comes to drawing up your guest list.  Make it easy on yourself and play around with the numbers and see how much you can save or spend by subtracting or adding from your guest list.

So when it comes to pulling together your list by all means write down everyone, but then use this Wedding Guest List Manager flow chart from Bridal Tweet to help dwindle it down.

It’s amazing that just by asking yourself these simple questions, you will ultimately end up with a guest list that will ensure your wedding day is just how you envisaged it would be.
