The Day After The Big Day
Quite a few people, guests and bridal party alike, see the day after the wedding as just as much fun as the actual wedding day itself. Although some of your attendees will no doubt be nursing a sore head the following morning, people usually surface in time for some breakfast and a chat about the previous day.
It’s a great chance to catch up with your guests and hear their favourite parts of your wedding celebration. It also gives you the opportunity to spend some quality time with those close friends and family that perhaps weren’t in your bridal party and you didn’t get to see as much as you would have liked on the big day. Here are some ideas for what you can do the day after.
Nothing – Some of the best day afters are the ones where nothing is planned. You and your guests can drift between each other and have a chat about the day’s festivities over a few drinks and some nibbles. It’s relaxed and a nice way to wind down before normal life resumes.
A Pub Lunch – A big pub lunch is the perfect way to cure any hangovers and have a big catch up over some delicious comfort food. You can continue the festivities over some more beverages and if there’s a live band in the evening, you couldn’t ask for a better round 2.
Wedding Brunch – It sounds a bit American but it’s a great way to refresh everyone after a day of drinking, dancing and mingling. It also means that nobody has to get up for an early breakfast and can get some much needed rest after a great day.
Walk – A nice beach or forest walk is a great way to get some fresh air and work up an appetite for even more food later that day.
