You’ve got engaged and set the date, but now to actually organise the wedding. Thinking about choosing a wedding theme but don’t know what to go for. It could be something sentimental to you and your partner or just a theme you love. Here’s a list of ideas to get you started:
Beach
A beach wedding is a great theme to go with especially if you are considering a wedding abroad. You could opt for a paired back and relaxed beach reception with a bohemian vibe or you could go all out with hula skirts, coconut cocktails and beach themed décor. You could even provide your guests with flip flops and have a themed photo booth with beach balls and floral wreaths to get those memorable snaps.
Vintage
Love everything retro? Well a vintage themed wedding might just be for you. Think shabby chic and florals. DIY will be your best friend for this type of wedding, you will be able to pick up items in charity shops and upcycle them to get this look. Lace compliments this type of theme and looks perfect on tables. Even think about making your own favours
Rustic
Rustic weddings have become very popular, especially over the past few years. A tepee or woodland area can be a good location for a wedding like this. Unfinished cakes are great for this type of occasion and can be decorated with flowers. Fairy lights can be a great addition to create ambience and set the scene. Use wood, brown paper and twine to create table decorations and place settings.
Rock and Roll
If you fancy a rock and roll themed wedding, there’s a lot of information and ideas on Pinterest. You could get personalised leather jackets for the wedding party. Neon signs and temporary tattoos can be great additions to your day that will allow your guests to get the coolest pictures. A rock and roll band would be key for nailing this theme – so do your research.
Winter Wonderland
If you are getting married around November/December consider a Christmas style Winter Wonderland Wedding. Incorporate fur wraps into the bridal parties’ outfits. A giant snowglobe can be rented for guest’s pictures and the venue can be fitted out in all white for a snowy look.
